When was Dundee Precious Metals created?

Dundee Precious Metals was previously a closed end fund, with 75% of its investments in the gold mining industry. In September 2003, after extensive due diligence, DPM acquired two gold assets in Bulgaria. In April 2004, Dundee Precious Metals finalized its conversion into a gold mining company.

Today, DPM is an emerging mid-tier gold producer, and operates the Chelopech and Ada Tepe mines in Bulgaria and the Tsumeb smelter in Namibia.

What assets does Dundee Precious Metals own and where are they located?

DPM owns 100% of the Chelopech underground mine and 100% of the Ada Tepe open-pit mine, both located in Bulgaria, as well as 92% of the Tsumeb smelter in Namibia. In addition, DPM holds interests in a number of developing gold and exploration properties located in Canada, Serbia and Ecuador, including a 10.3% interest in Sabina Gold & Silver Corp. and a 19.4% in INV Metals Inc.

The Tsumeb smelter is a strategic asset that provides a secure processing outlet for complex concentrate (concentrate that contains, in this case, high levels of arsenic) from Chelopech.
